Locksmiths Newark: Replacement Lock

This was another case of a door that had dropped a little and subsequently this had put a strain on the lock.

A lovely customer in Newark called us when they realised the lock on their front door was getting very stiff indeed. Although it hadn't seized up altogether it was very badly worn.

At least part of the reason for the wear was down to the door becoming misaligned. This happens all the time - doors move on their hinges a little and, then a little more until they get quite loose. This in turn puts a strain on the lock.

So along we came and fitted a new pair of sprung door handles and upgraded the euro cylinder to a TS007 British Standard 1 star anti snap cylinder with a key registration card and 5 keys. The door was also adjusted on the hinges and the multipoint locking system serviced.
