Locksmiths Newark: New Lock and Door Adjustment

This door had dropped a little, which put a strain on the lock - enter your local, friendly Locksmith!

It was kind of inevitable that this lock would fail but we can't blame anybody for not realising the strain that the gearbox was under. The gearbox part of a lock handles the mechanical movement of the handle and key so when a door isn't aligning properly it undergoes extra strain and will eventually fail.

In this case we adjusted the door to make sure it now closes without letting in draughts. The lock was fixed in one visit from parts we carry on the van.
