Locksmiths Long Bennington: A Troublesome Mortice Lock

It looks old fashioned from the outside and sure enough this mortice lock was worn out

This lock had just about given up, it was being very temperamental now and then and there was no real fix other than to replace it.

The home owner did the right thing and got in touch before the lock gave up completely so swapping this out was relatively straightforward.

We replaced the old mortice lock with a 5 lever British Standard insurance-approved version with of course, a new set of keys.

Another lock fixed for a very satisfied customer just South of Newark.
