The lower part of the door was sticking but that also put a strain on the mechanism

Many doors will drop a little over time as the hinges wear or when fixings become a little loose. It's worthwhile paying attention to issues like that, as they can have an effect on the mechanism - putting various parts under strain.

The lower part of the door at this property in Flintham had suffered with exactly this problem - the door had begun to stick, not badly and like most people the property owner put up with it until unfortunately the mechanism also started to play up. It's something we see happen quite often with stable doors.

Once we got the call we were soon able to nip along and replace the mechanism from parts we carry on the van. After that we repositioned the door to make sure there was no more sticking.
