Replacing Misted Double Glazing in Newark

If your windows look like the first image, then your double glazed unit has broken down and needs replacing.

At this property in Newark we replaced several double glazed units that were suffering from exactly the same problem - trapped condensation between the two panes of glass.

Because the condensation is trapped inside the unit, it cannot be wiped away. Typically, when a double glazed unit has failed you'll notice the condensation when the temperature drops - maybe overnight or in winter. What's actually happening is that the hermetic seal around the panes has been breached, allowing moisture to get in.

Unfortunately the only 'fix' is to replace the double glazed unit. In nearly all cases, this doesn't mean replacing the whole window and frame - just the double glazing.

Not only is the misting unsightly, it means that the insulating properties of the double glazing are greatly reduced.
