This was another case of a door that had dropped a little and subsequently this had put a strain on the lock.
At least part of the reason for the wear was down to the door becoming misaligned. This happens all the time – doors move on their hinges a little and, then a little more until they get quite loose. This in turn puts a strain on the lock.
So along we came and fitted a new pair of sprung door handles and upgraded the euro cylinder to a TS007 British Standard 1 star anti snap cylinder with a key registration card and 5 keys. The door was also adjusted on the hinges and the multipoint locking system serviced.
