Bi-fold doors look fantastic but original double-glazed units need to be up to standard to make the most of them.
For a house with a garden like this in Newark, bi-fold doors are the perfect fit. Bringing a real sense of space and airiness.
The problem we sometimes see with these doors is the double glazed units – quality can be skimped which leads to problems with external rubber seals not staying in place and also misting between the panels, from poor manufacture and / or fitting. Slight movement of the double glazed units within the external seals / gaskets can, over time, lead to breaking-down of the units.
We got the call because of just such problems with these bi-fold doors in Newark.
The solution: we fitted replacement A-rated toughened double glazed units to the correct specification for these doors.
We also replaced the locking system with an insurance-approved multi-point locking system. A really happy customer and a safe and secure solution.
